Job-site habits: binding wire, welding rods, and clean stacks
Annealed binding wire, the right electrode size, and why stack discipline matters before the pour.

Binding wire in 20 and 22 gauge is cheap insurance: consistent ties beat rushed twists when the inspector walks the cage. Keep reels off the mud and out of the monsoon puddle—rust on wire sounds minor until ties snap during vibration.
Match welding rod diameter to the job—2.5 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm each have a sweet spot for root passes versus fill. If you’re also moving GI wire for fencing or bundling, separate the reels so crews don’t grab the wrong gauge under pressure.
Long products—pipe, angle, bar—need crib height and dunnage that won’t let bundles roll. Tags facing the road help your own team; they help ours when we’re cross-docking to a second truck for the last mile to site.
